Do you ever casually scroll through your favorite shopping app, with no expectation to buy something, and all of a sudden see an item you absolutely have to have? Today’s dress is a prime example. I love dresses. For me, it’s an easy way to have a complete outfit that looks great, but with minimal effort. No matching, and layering… just throw that dress on and a cute pair of shoes.
Now of course I say that, but then write this post to show you a few different ways to style this dress HA. Although dresses are minimal effort, you can still dress them up and down. You can add layers for depth and accessories for a pop, which is also so much fun. Something I’ve been trying to do more of is layer with a pretty jacket or blazer. Luckily, I’ll be showing you both options here!
3 Ways to Style a Floral Dress
Cargo Vest
When putting this look together, I wasn’t sure how it would pan out but who knew such a feminine dress and an edgy vest would work! Since this vest cinches in at the waist, it gives shape and complements the dress rather than over powering it. I also LOVE the blush and hunter green combo. Don’t be surprised if you see more of this color combo from me in the future!
Oversized Blazer
This blazer has become a favorite of mine ever since I bought it. Calvin Klein, at TJ Maxx prices… you can’t beat it! Other amazing qualities you ask? SO comfortable, versatile, and has a timeless silhouette. I first put this combo together when I wore this dress to work one day. It was a bit shorter than I wanted for the office but once I put this blazer on it worked!
Unique Pair of Shoes
For winter and fall we see tons of outfit combos that feature dresses with booties, and we love it. One trend I’m really enjoying are the clear (see through) shoes. So here I am with a pair of clear booties that somehow work with this feminine floral dress! This look definitely took me out of my comfort zone but honestly, that’s one of the main reasons I started this blog.
